With the two workwear packages REWEAR and RE2050, Tricorp's first mission has been accomplished! REWEAR is a clothing package in which the articles are partly made from recycled raw materials. These items are based on six bestsellers from the standard range. The RE2050 package consists of six items that have a completely new design and are made of almost 100% recycled materials.
REWEAR is Tricorp's first circular (D1) clothing package. This line is based on 6 top items from the standard collection. The fabric is made from recycled polyester or a mix of recycled polyester and organic cotton.
The objective of REWEAR was: Reduce, Reuse & Rewear:
Reduce: reducing water use, energy and CO2 emissions. And reducing the use of new raw materials.
Reuse: make the item suitable for reuse after wearing.
Rewear: the reuse of materials in our workwear. For example, recycling a PET bottle into PET polyester.
With the RE2050 collection, Tricorp is taking the next step towards 100% circular workwear: a complete, modern and sporty clothing package for the fashion-conscious professional with strong materials for a longer lifespan. Think of stretch for flexibility and comfort and light materials for more comfort. In addition to the fabric, many of the accessories are also made from recycled raw materials. The design takes into account the possibility of recycling the clothing. The name RE2050 is a nod to the year 2050 in which the Netherlands as an economy must be circular.
RE2050 consists of six modern articles with a completely new design. Characteristic of the design is the sporty lines and look & feel. For example, in every article you will find a reflective piping that provides a sporty and visible element. The well-known Tricorp hooks are also subtly incorporated into the articles to create an exclusive look. The sporty 'feel' has been brought back by the Tricorp designers by using airy Mesh elements.
The RE2050 collection is made with recycled polyester and recycled polyamide. The lining of the Winter Tech Shell is made of Primaloft recycled polyester. Polygiene® finish has been applied to the fabric of the T-shirt and the polo shirt so that the item can be worn more often before going into the wash.
The addition of a stretch quality makes the articles very comfortable and sporty. The work trousers even have a full 4-way stretch quality!

Textile trade association Modint has developed a tool together with bAwear to calculate the ecological footprint of an article. Variables such as raw material, fabric surface and transport are included in the calculation. A cloth made of recycled material is expected to have a lower ecological footprint than a cloth made of new (virgin) material.
